How can psychotherapy help you?

In today’s fast -paced, productivity-focussed world, the therapy room can offer a valuable opportunity to pause and turn our attention inwards for a moment. To become curious about why we feel and behave as we do, and to explore what might be shaping our choices and relationships in ways we may not fully understand.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that seem to repeat or finding relationships more difficult than you would like. Perhaps something in your life has shifted recently, or perhaps things have felt this way for a long time.

Psychotherapy offers a space to explore these experiences in depth in a confidential and non-judgemental relationship. Together, we can begin to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and relationships, including aspects of your experience that may feel confusing, difficult to articulate or out of reach.

Together, we can look beneath the surface

Putting our experiences and feelings into words can help us understand ourselves differently. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms or immediate difficulties, psychodynamic psychotherapy allows us to look beneath the surface and consider how past experiences and relationships may be influencing the present.

Whatever has brought you to therapy, our work can provide an opportunity to understand more fully where you have come from, where you find yourself now and how you might want things to be different in the future.
