I’m Chantal

A woman with red hair sitting on a pink chair in front of a colorful abstract painting in a white-walled room.

I am a relational psychodynamic psychotherapist practising in South East London, working with adults both in person and online.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work in accordance with its ethical framework. I have experience of working with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties, including more complex and longstanding experiences.

I trained at Goldsmiths, University of London, where I completed a Level 6 Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My Approach

My approach is relational, which means that therapy is something we do together. Alongside exploring your experiences and relationships outside the therapy room, we can also be curious about what happens between us. Over time, the therapeutic relationship can become a valuable way of recognising and understanding patterns in how you experience yourself and relate to others.

I believe it is important to understand each person within the context of their own unique life, relationships, culture and experiences. I am committed to offering an inclusive practice and welcome neurodivergent clients, adapting the therapeutic environment where helpful to support different ways of communicating, processing and relating.

At the heart of my work is the development of a consistent and trusting therapeutic relationship — one in which there is room to explore parts of yourself that may be difficult to understand or put into words.

Curiosity, care and respect are at the heart of my practice

My practice is not limited to particular diagnoses or difficulties, but I have a particular interest in working with experiences including:
